Puppetry (Autumn Term)
Join us for an enchanting journey into the world of puppetry, led by the talented Phoebe Hyder. This 4-week coures invites participants to explore the magic of bringing inanimate objects to life through movement, voice, and imagination. Whether you’re a curious beginner or an experienced puppeteer looking to refine your skills, this course offers a supportive environment to develop your craft.
Throughout the sessions, we’ll delve into various puppetry techniques and styles, drawing inspiration from both traditional and contemporary practices. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with different forms of puppetry, collaborate with fellow enthusiasts, and unlock their creative potential. Come prepared to play, learn, and discover the transformative power of puppetry in a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere.
Actors who attend Collective in the last three years have gone on to work in Hollywood films, on Broadway, for the National Theatre, in the West End and in series for Netflix, HBO, BBC, ITV and Channel 4.
We are passionate about working with actors from underrepresented groups and we will always seek to break down barriers to access in professional actor-training. Scholarships are available for those who are facing challenging circumstances.
