Our BA Acting degree course offers full-time industry-focused actor-training.
This course places a strong emphasis on both stage and screen acting – with 50% of the curriculum devoted to each area of the industry.
During our BA Acting you will:
- Make an original feature film
- Perform in two full-length public theatre productions
- Take part in a West End industry showcase
- Record a short film, a radio play, a showreel and a voicereel
There will also be an emphasis on fostering the skills needed to create your own work – such as screenwriting and producing.
Study in state-of-the-art theatre and studio spaces situated in our beautiful Grade 2-listed building – just 10 minutes from London’s West End.

Course Overview
This degree offers the training an actor needs for today’s industry. The curriculum is evenly divided between screen and stage work, offering a comprehensive full-time professional actor-training. It not only allows you to develop the skills needed for a sustainable career as an actor, it also provides you the opportunities to make your own work and create your own projects, so you are able to tell the stories you want to tell.

year 2
During the second year you will undertake more stylised and genre-based forms of acting.

- Scene Study: American Film and Television
- American Accents
- Self-Tapes
- Voice for Animation and Audiobooks
- Radio
- Acting in different Film Genres
- Audio Dialogue Replacement (ADR)
- Screenwriting
- Outdoor Shakespeare Production
- Devising, Puppetry and Physical Theatre
- Producing a Short Film
year 3
The final year will focus on public performance and preparation for the industry.

Entrance to the course is via audition.
The standard minimum academic entry requirements for this course are one, or a combination, of the following qualifications:
- 2 A Levels at grade C or above
- Merit, Pass, Pass (MPP) at BTEC Extended Diploma
- Access to Higher Education Diploma
If a candidate passes the audition process, but does not meet the minimum academic requirements, they may still be offered a place if their audition is deemed outstanding.
