Advanced Acting – Self-Taping (Summer Term)

Learn the art of the perfect self-tape – and pitch your tape to a casting agent in the final session. 

Elevate your self-taping game with our brand new, intensive 6-week course, designed to give you the edge in today’s audition landscape.

This course is designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to create compelling self-tapes that capture the attention of casting directors. You’ll work with industry professionals to hone your on-screen presence, technical proficiency, and audition technique.

A focused and comprehensive program designed to transform your self-taping, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the self-taping process from the casting director’s perspective.

Casting Director Pitch: The culmination of your training! To participate in the final class, students must attend a minimum of 3 sessions. You’ll have the opportunity to pitch your self-tape to a casting director in the final session, gaining invaluable feedback and exposure.

This course is led by acting teacher Segun Fawole.

As a screen actor Segun has recently appeared in Sandman for Netflix and EasterEnders and Grime Kids for the BBC.

Segun has played leading roles in many West End shows including Loserville (Garrick Theatre), A Chorus Line (London Palladium) and Motown The Musical.

He has danced commercially with some of the biggest music artists in the country including Peter Andre, Cheryl Cole, Tinie Tempah and Alexandra Burke.

In recent years Segun has also worked in the music industry as both a Producer and Singer/Songwriter working with established and new artists on labels including Universal Music and Sony Records.

Actors trained by Collective in the last three years have gone on to work in Hollywood films, on Broadway, for the National Theatre, in the West End and in series for Netflix, HBO, BBC, ITV and Channel 4.

We are passionate about working with actors from underrepresented groups and we will always seek to break down barriers to access in professional actor-training. Scholarships are available for those who are facing challenging circumstances.
